Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions monitor how you use Mzima Africa Travel Limited’s services. By booking any travel services with us, you agree to these terms.

2. Booking and Payment

  • Bookings must be confirmed through our system or by email. 
  • Bookings require a 50% deposit of the total price before confirmation. 
  • The full payment must be made at least seven days before the travel date. 
  • If full payment is not received by the due date, Mzima Africa Travel Limited may cancel the booking and retain the deposit.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made 7 to 14 days before the travel date incur a 50% charge of the holiday booking. 
  • Cancellations made 1 to 7 days before the travel date incur a 75% charge of the holiday booking. 
  • No refunds for cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled departure will be provided. 
  • Hotel and flight/SGR cancellation policies also apply. 
  • Once tickets are purchased, they are non-refundable and non-transferable. 
  • Mzima Africa Travel Limited reserves the right to cancel any trip due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., bad weather, government restrictions). You will be offered an alternative date or a full refund in such cases.

4. Changes to Bookings

  • Availability and additional fees may apply to changes made to confirmed bookings. 
  • All changes must be submitted in writing at least 7 days before the scheduled departure date.

5. Travel Insurance

It is highly advised by Mzima Africa Travel Limited that all travelers acquire comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, loss of luggage, and other unexpected occurrences. The company will not be held responsible for any expenses accrued during the trip.

    6. Liability

    • Mzima Africa Travel Limited acts as an agent for various service providers, including transport, accommodation, and tour operators. While we ensure the quality of services provided, we do not accept responsibility for any accidents, losses, or damages that occur during the trip.
    • We are not liable for delays, changes in itinerary, or interruptions caused by weather conditions, strikes, or other events beyond our control.

    7. Health and Safety

    • Any specific health conditions should be disclosed to us at the time of booking.
    • It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they are in good physical condition for any activities (e.g., hiking, safaris) they participate in. 

    8. Use of Images

    Unless you specifically request otherwise, by booking a trip with Mzima Africa Travel Limited, you agree to the use of photos or films made during your trip for promotional purposes.

    9. Personal Information

    Any personal information collected during the booking process will be used strictly for organizing your trip. We are committed to protecting your privacy and will not share your information with third parties without your consent.

    10. Governing Law

    These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in accordance with Kenyan law.
