Day 01 Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, your safari adventure will begin as you depart by road driving across the equator to the Northern Hemisphere and onward to the semi-arid region of the Samburu Game Reserve. Arrive at the camp in good time for lunch, followed by some leisure hours for a siesta or swim before you depart for an afternoon game viewing drive, and return back to the camp before sunset.

Day 02 Samburu National Reserve

This full day in the Samburu Game Reserve will be spent with picnic lunch searching for the big five; the Samburu five and observing the vast unspoiled scenery during morning and afternoon game viewing drives. The Park is plentiful with crocodiles that bask on muddy riverbanks and velvet monkeys that frolic in the late afternoon sun. Samburu is renowned for its rare species of fauna known as the ‘Samburu five. These five particular animals are usually only found north of the equator – the long-necked gerenuk, the reticulated giraffe which is characterized by its liver-colored geometric patches defined by narrow white lines, the Grevy’s zebra which is smaller than the common zebra and looks more like a horse, the beisa Oryx with a black horizontal stripe running across its lower flank and the Somali ostrich males which have blue-grey necks and thighs.

Day 03 Samburu National Reserve – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Do an early morning game drive, return to your camp for a full breakfast. After breakfast, depart to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Arrive at your camp in good time for lunch and rest. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game: Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 364sq km wildlife conservancy situated between the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare and its game-to-area ratio tops the Kenyan park and reserve league. Ol Pejeta has over 10000 large mammals and it is the only park where the big 5 and chimpanzees can be seen. It is also where the fastest-growing population of rhinos in Africa can be found. There are southern white rhino, about 80 endangered black rhino and in a special sanctuary, there are three of the world’s last remaining northern white rhino.

Day 04 Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast; leave for a full day game drive exploring the exotic Sweetwater’s Sanctuary. Enjoy the good view of the wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, and myriad plains games
among others. Sweetwater boasts of excellent game viewing experience with the highest ratio of game to the area among any other parks or reserves in Kenya.

Day 05 Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, check-out of the lodge and depart to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive in time for lunch. After lunch an exciting game drive until 6.30 in the evening. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lake shores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 birds’ species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White and Black Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.

Day 06 Lake Nakuru National Park – Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, have a morning game drive en-route heading to Masai Mara National Reserve. After 4 hours’ drive, arrive and have lunch. In the afternoon embark on an afternoon game drive exploring Maasai Mara Plains in search of its popular residents like Lions, cheetahs, leopards among others.

Day 07 Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, leave for a full day game drive with packed picnic lunch. Explore this part of the Northern Serengeti Ecosystem where the great wildebeest migration takes place at the beginning of August. Months before the actual migration the herds ‘assemble’ in Serengeti in readiness for the crossing into Masai Mara. The plain is literally covered with these animals. Grunts and other animal sounds are heard, and territorial fights are commonplace. The migration, now declared the Seventh Wonder of the World takes place from the end of July to September. The afternoon is spent on a game drive in search of the black manned lions which the park is famous for. A lion making a kill can be witnessed in the late afternoon or a leopard in a tree enjoying the meal he has dragged up to avoid disturbance and detection. Optional Balloon safari in the morning at exactly 0630hrs can be arranged at an extra cost of $400 per person and also visit Maasai Cultural village in the evening at an extra cost of $20 per person.

Day 08 Masai Mara National Reserve - Lake Naivasha

Do an early morning game drive; return to the camp for a full buffet breakfast. Leave for Lake Naivasha via Thompsons Falls, and then proceed to Lake Naivasha to arrive in good time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, you will have an optional boat ride safari at an extra cost of $20 per person. Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow barked Acacia Xanthophlea, known as the yellow fever tree. These forests abound with birdlife, and
Naivasha is known as a world-class birding. Giraffes wander among the acacia, Buffalo wallow in the swamps and Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the Lakes large hippo population sleeps the day out in the shallows. The region surrounding the Lake is well worth exploring.

Day 09 Lake Naivasha– Amboseli National Park

Do an early morning game drive; return to your camp for a full buffet breakfast. Leave for Amboseli National Park with a stop-over at Maanzoni Lodge located within the outskirts of Nairobi for Lunch and rest. Thereafter; proceed to Amboseli National Park to arrive in good time for an afternoon game viewing en-route to your camp. Ideal photography opportunities with Mount Kilimanjaro’s highest mountain in Africa providing a beautiful backdrop.

Day 10 Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, leave for a full day game drive can be taken in Amboseli when Mt. Kilimanjaro usually appears from its mantle of clouds, morning and afternoon game viewing in Amboseli, the game Proceeds to the area of Lake Amboseli, which is a wide salt pan, consisting of permanent swamps. This area has much game, large and small, high concentration of Elephant, rhino, buffalo, Burchell’s zebra, eland, Masai giraffe and small species of the antelope family, the common waterbuck, klipspringer, Grant’s gazelle, impala, topi, and the diminutive duiker among others.

Day 11 Amboseli National Park – Tsavo West National Park

Do an early morning game drive; return to your camp for a full breakfast. Leave for Tsavo West National Park. Arrive in good time for lunch and rest at your lodge. In the afternoon, embark on an afternoon game drive. Tsavo West is a beautiful, rugged wilderness. The savannah ecosystem comprises open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation, and rocky ridges including the Poacher’s Lookout where visitors can see the teeming herds in the plains below. Tsavo West offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world and attractions include elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalos, diverse plant and bird species. It also includes a visit to the Mzima Springs.

Day 12 Tsavo West National Park

Explore Tsavo West National Park Two game drives are scheduled for this day. The extensive diverse habitats offer an ideal area to search for pride of Lions, Buffaloes, Cheetahs, Giraffes, Zebras, Hippos, and Wildebeests. Mzima Spring, underground water seepage from Chyulu hills is a good place to watch the Hippos. There is also a wealth and diversity of bird species.

Day 13 Tsavo West National Park - Nairobi

Do an early morning game drive, return to your lodge for a full brunch. Thereafter; leave for Nairobi to arrive in good time to be dropped at Airport/Nairobi hotel.
