6 Days Mombasa-Tsavo Amboseli Nakuru Mara Itinerary

Day 1. Mombasa – Tsavo West National Park

Meet and greet with your safari driver. There after you’ll have a short trip briefing before departure. This is meant to answer any last minute query you might have and to make sure that all is well with your program.

Depart from your hotel early in the morning. Drive along the busy Mombasa – Nairobi road via Voi town and the Tsavo river gate to Tsavo west national park. The park is unique with ancient Baobab trees doting the land. And its only in Tsavo west you’ll have high chances of spotting Leopards. All the members of the “Big Five” are found here.

Game drive after entry en-route to your lodge/luxury camp of choice for check-in and lunch. Afternoon game viewing which includes a visit to the Rhino sanctuary. Here patience is required and silence too. The shy heavily build creatures emerge from the thickets surrounding the water holes. Also, we’ll be on the look out for lion, Elephants, Cheetah, Buffalo, Giraffe, Warthog and many more. Return to our lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2. Tsavo West – Amboseli National Park

Early pre-breakfast game drive to visit Mzima springs to witness crystal clear water emanating from the underground springs believed to originate from Chyulu hills.  Enjoy hippos, crocodiles , fish and variety of bird-life viewing at this point.

Later depart Tsavo west and drive to Amboseli national park which lies on the floors of Mount Kilimanjaro. The mountain offers scenic background for photography. Elephants, Lions, Cheetah, Buffalo, hyena, Giraffe, Zebra, and many more can easily be seen in Amboseli. Lunch. Afternoon game drive.There is so much to feed our eyes on, Our intensive game viewing will be spread to cover the open fields, Marshy grounds and the woodlands just to make it a rewarding experience.

And, Just to add on our wildlife viewing experience, Mount Kilimanjaro stunning views compliments it. Located in Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro is the African continent’s highest peak standing at 5,895 meters (19,340 feet). It’s snow covered peaks towers above the clouds. It is the land mark in Amboseli national park casting its shadow over the park’s wildlife rich ecosystem. Dinner and overnight in a lodge / luxury tented camp .

Day 3. Amboseli – Lake Nakuru

We shall be up at sun rise to follow the animal trails in search of  the big five. Return to our lodge for breakfast .Thereafter check out and have a short game viewing on our way to exit . Proceed via Nairobi city . And without stopping – we’ll continue with our journey  Mai-Mahiu rift valley view point. Take photos and proceed with our scenic journey to arrive in Lake Nakuru for late Lunch.

Evening game drive awaits! Tese shall take us to the lake show. The lake is famous for millions of flamingos & other pelicans birds which form canopy on the lake shores .We shall be on the lookout for black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, hippos and the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes.. Dinner and overnight in a lodge or luxury tented camp

Day 4. Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

Early breakfast. There after check out and start our journey to Masai Mara game reserve. There shall be some stops on the way to admire scenic attractions including tea growing region in Kericho. Arrive in Masai mara in time for lunch. Check-in and relax.

Game viewing is scheduled in the evening. Masai Mara ecosystem is rich in wildlife and bird-life. You’ll be exploring the reserve extensively to discover the magic. Return to your lodge or luxury tented camp for Dinner and overnight.

Day 5. Masai Mara Game Reserve

These shall be your ultimate day of Adventure. Game drives will be widely spread in pursuit of the big five, birds & other wildlife. Scavengers and Predators roam free in this natural habitat.

The greatest spectacle is witnessed during the months of July – September when Millions of Wilde-beasts , Zebra and Gazelle migrate from Serengeti to Masai Mara in search of green pastures. It’s a spectacle any safari goer would not like to miss!!

This has made the phenomenon famed  ” The seventh wonder of the modern world”

Picnic lunch will be held by the Mara river as you watch hippos & crocodiles or maybe the great migration (July – September). Return to your lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 6. Masai Mara – Mombasa

This is the last day of your safari. You’ll be up before the early bird to prepare for your journey to Mombasa. Breakfast . Thereafter check-out and have one more game viewing on your way to exit. Exit the reserve and drive to Nairobi . Picnic lunch en-route. Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to SGR train terminus for the scheduled train departure at 1500hrs.

Arrive in Mombasa train station at 2030hrs and get transferred to your resident hotel.
